This year, for the first time, Save Lids to Save Lives will expand beyond Yoplait to include other General Mills' brands including Green Giant, Hamburger Helper, Progresso, Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fiber One, Total, Nature Valley, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and others. Starting in September, more than 20 General Mills' brands will carry pink Save Lids to Save Lives redeemable lids.
For each pink lid received by mail or code entered online at SaveLidsToSaveLives.com by June 30, 2013, General Mills will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® - maximum total donation of $2,500,000. General Mills has already donated $500,000 and will donate up to an additional $2,000,000 based on lids submitted and other consumable actions.
Virginia Blue Ridge Affiliate supporters can impact efforts to help women in our community fighting breast cancer, because General Mills is tracking the zip codes from lids redeemed to make sure donations triggered go back to local breast cancer programs in our community.
